How fam.work Works

fam.work is a marketplace for freelance services and digital products, built on Solana. Buyers pay into a smart contract instead of into a company bank account, and sellers are paid directly to their wallet the moment work is approved. This page covers the whole flow: ordering, delivery, fees, payouts, and what happens when something goes wrong.

For Buyers

  1. Browse or Search: Explore services and digital products across every category, or use search to find exactly what you need.
  2. Order & Deposit: Place an order. Your payment (SOL, USDC or USDT) is held in the smart contract escrow. The seller doesn't get paid until you approve the work.
  3. Manage Work: Communicate directly with the seller. Receive updates and files through the order page.
  4. Approve & Release: Once you're happy with the result, approve the delivery. The escrow contract releases the funds to the seller's wallet on the next block.

For Sellers

  1. Create a Gig: Sign up, connect your Phantom wallet, and post a gig detailing your service, pricing, and delivery time.
  2. Get Hired: Receive orders from buyers. Funds are already secured in escrow before you start working.
  3. Deliver Work: Submit your work through the platform. Use the built-in messenger for any clarifications.
  4. Get Paid: Upon approval, payment transfers directly to your wallet. No withdrawal limits, no minimum payout, no hold periods.

What It Costs

A flat 5% service fee applies to every transaction. There is no minimum order and no withdrawal limit, and Premium membership is optional. Referral commissions come out of that 5% rather than being added on top: refer someone and you earn 1% of everything they sell, or 2% with Premium.

See the full fee breakdown for limits and edge cases.

How Payments Move

Orders can be paid in native SOL, USDC or USDT. When a buyer orders, the funds move into a program-owned vault on Solana. fam.work cannot spend them. On approval the contract pays the seller, deducts the service fee, and pays any referrer, all in a single transaction that settles on the next block.

If Something Goes Wrong

Either side can open a dispute from the order page. Doing so freezes the funds in escrow, so neither party can withdraw while the case is open. A support ticket is created automatically and both sides submit evidence. A fam.work admin reviews it manually and splits the funds fairly.

Read the dispute resolution guide before opening one.

Smart Escrow Protection

All transactions are protected by smart contracts on the Solana blockchain. This ensures that buyers get what they paid for, and sellers get paid for their work. In case of a disagreement, our dispute resolution system steps in.
